Where is the bending machines used?

1. The manual folding bench

Is understood by a folding bench a processing device with the one sheet over a Edge can turn. A folding bench is an alternative to sheet metal forming with a steel bar and a hammer. In contrast to a hammered edge, a folding provides a clean Edge. With a manual folding bench sheet metal from iron, for example are
indeed primarily Copper or aluminium curved, there are also applications for the folding bench, where flächiger Plastic can be bent. The bending Bank is often simply called the Kant Bank.
A simple, hand-operated folding bench works in principle as bending machine. The Press is a machine that is part of the machinery in metal forming technology. Smaller Designs the bending Bank be manually operated and can be used also. Only large folding benches are powered by motors and own only for a
stationary operation. On a folding bench, you can perform only the bending process. You want To cut metals, how necessary the manual folding bench with cutting devices Shears combine so that you can not only beveled plates, but also cut.
The stronger and wider panels should be bent, the harder to a folding bench be. Manually operated folding benches there have their limits, where the width and thickness of Workpiece to calls for more effort than the operator of the machine under your own steam can. If this point is exceeded, you must return on power-operated folding benches access. When selecting a manually operated folding bench you should
consider therefore that the Leverage of such machines is limited to a relatively narrow workspace.
The limits Length are manual bending force on bending of sheet metal work pieces of approx. one meter
and two millimeters thick. The sheet metal is stronger, you can only narrow workpieces with the Press bending, a steel sheet a workpiece is wider than about a meter must be less than the above two millimeters be strong so that you can turn it with your hand. Since a Folding bench is manufactured almost entirely made of solid metal, are portable or mobile Versions of the folding bench relatively heavy. To still be able to
carry a folding bench the bending Bank be so relatively small, so that with such a Bank of folding also
only relatively small workpieces can be processed.

2. The electric folding bench

Electric motors can find in a folding bench on different kind of application. So drive Electric Motors also actuators of a folding bench, to move the upper beam of the folding bench and electric motors are used, the power for the bending work of the folding base to supply. Can the power of electric motors in an electric folding bench on different ways transfer register. Often the power of the engine is by belt Actuators the actuators of the bending bank transfer or transmission for the Movement of machine parts of the folding bench set, which do the work of bending.
Compared to other drives, the electric motor in a folding base has several advantages. One the main advantages in the use of electric motors in a folding bench is to see that only consumes energy, using the bending Bank. In the standby mode is the electric motor of the bending Bank simply still, what for example
when using by hydraulic drives is not possible. Also the costs for the maintenance the use of electric motors in a folding bench small, if you its service requirements with compares those with hydraulic and pneumatic drives. A drive with electric motors allows also reduced weight with a folding bench, what the setting up or the Move or transport of a folding bench is relatively simple. An electrically driven Press enable also a design space-saving, what in confined spaces in Industrial buildings often can be an advantage. Electric drives offer a folding bench also, a relatively low energy consumption in comparison with other drive
concepts.
Have a very low inertia electric motors in a folding bench and facilitate Therefore the fast control the folding bench, what very easy operation a folding bench can. An electric powered folding bench is to hydraulic for example compared Press bit of tweaking necessary. As well programmed electric motors of a folding bench
Let modern bending machines can be fitted well with devices to the Bending Bank automatically, for example, on the strength of the plates or even a desired Adjusts the bending radius. Electric actuators are relatively quiet, so a folding bench at work developed in the working spaces themselves and also relatively low noise emissions.

3. Hydraulic folding bench

In a modern folding bench system is often driven by a hydraulic. Under high pressure Standing hydraulic oil through hoses pressed and becomes for example hydraulic cylinders redirected. This put the oil pressure into linear movements, the one for the bending and Body work can use a folding bench. A hydraulic folding bench allows the creation large torques on technically relatively simple manner what in many applications to the Bending of metal is particularly effective with a folding bench. The hydraulic fluid is However, not only to the transfer of power from the pump to the various drives a Press used, but the fluid in a hydraulic system of a folding bench can also How to use a gearbox. The hydraulic of press brake Bank also ensures that the
Speed of the oil in the lines continuously can be adjusted, a feature that the one for example to the fine, seamless dosage of bending force put in a folding bench can. In a hydraulically operated folding bench, usually an engine is fitted with one, strong pump pressure for the hydraulic system of the bending Bank
delivers to the actuator or Bending work in the press can be used. Alternatively, there are also systems for
the bending Bank, among the bending Bank from an external hydraulic system with pressure and therefore force will be supplied.
While older hydraulic drives the maintenance of a folding bench was relatively expensive,.

There is today, for example quick couplings that safe, clean separation of Allow hydraulic lines in the bending Bank. This facilitates a safe maintenance hydraulically powered folding bench. The simple display of the system load in a Hydraulic of press brake Bank makes the control of the operations of a folding bench
very simply, what the automation by bending or folding processes with a Press can help.
A hydraulically operated folding bench also developed a relatively high  noise level and the then, when the power stroke of the folding bench is interrupted. In a hydraulically powered Press consumed so even then the hydraulic pump energy, if they actually in the Is stopped. If you the priorities for the bending Bank at a most economical Energy use will, should therefore also for reasons of economic efficiency best Choose a folding bench with a hydraulic drive, if one bending work with the folding bench can organize a possible continuous process.

4. What is a Kantbank

A folding bench is a stationary machines for the processing of sheets. The Process with a folding bench it aims to bend plates and at the There is a point of bending to obtain a straight edge. Essentially you can sheets of all with a folding bench Process type to bend edges with the folding bench in the appropriate
form. For the bending process sheet metal is placed on a straight edge of the folding bench, fixed by
two or more tools and bent over the edge. Through this process, the machine has its name press or
Kant Bank received. Smaller versions of the folding bench, be operated manually and mobile, a
greater bending Bank operates stationary and is by electric motors,  hydraulic systems or pneumatically driven. The bending Bank belongs to the so-called bending forming to DIN 8586 to the machines, used
be. During the forming process as defined in DIN 8582, one knows the bending forming in accordance with DIN 8586, that describes also the bending on a folding bench.
The edges with an Abkantbank not cutting procedures include as bending of metalworking. As to the bending Bank to the production and processing of shaped Workpieces made of metals according to predefined geometrical sizes to functional
Products is used, the machine type the press first the metal-processing Machines to associate, which are used in manufacturing technology. In a larger Context is the bending Bank attributed to hence the forming machines.
With the Forming also manufacturing processes are meant, where metals selectively in a new form brought
be. During the forming process, for example, in a Canting Bank retains the material not only its size, but also its cohesion. With a folding bench is forming It is a targeted form of change, during the change of shape during deformation random is done. This is therefore also known as swivel bending with a folding bench as a
Production process of forming technology to classify.

5. Areas of application a Kant Bank

The use of a folding bench is required in many areas. In principle, you will find the Machine type of the press everywhere, where sheet metal is processed. A good example of this is the construction industry. So the plumber used the bending Bank in the manufacture of eaves and Pipes just like the coach a folding bench for example for the manufacture of sheet metal parts uses for air ducts. The roofer also exerts a disposition, the folding bench for roofing needed regularly for the dressing of sheet metal parts. In the industry, the bending Bank especially often come to use in the manufacture of equipment. No matter whether it is to home appliances or appliances for commercial use, much Housing parts must be manufactured there, and there far are forming with the bending Bank spread. A traditional industry of much sheet metal is also the automobile industry, you but many other components from sheet metal with the bending Bank not only body parts fit
must turn. The lamp and lighting industry has also many possibilities for the bending Bank and also the facilities and equipment for restaurants and kitchens are without Sheets fit curved on these machines not conceivable. Equipment and machinery, the the Come on folding benches and machines serve security or which must be secured curved sheets used. Can therefore find the bending Bank in many different versions
producers of machines, safes, and facilities for the protection of persons. No matter whether Sheet metal for cladding nad as components for machines or simply for  decoration be used, can all these parts without bending and folding machines not manufactured be.

6. How does a bending machine

Despite all the differences in the application and performance of folding at the On a folding bench, a bending operation in such machines is in principle always swivel bending to the same out manner. A system for hitting and holding high positions that Sheet metal in the upper beam of the folding bench, the workpiece is then between the upper and lower beam Folding bench stretched and the plate comes with a swiveling Bender of
bending Bank in the bent angle over the edge of one of the cheek. To the plate between the two cheeks
securely retain the folding bench, is mostly the upper beam of the folding bench with spindles, Eccentrics or hydraulic cylinders pressed in the direction of lower beam of bending Bank. In industry and crafts different types of folding as designs find themselves Folding bench properly used for various applications. Depending on the industry
When the requirements of the individual factors to the selection of a suitable bending Bank significant differences. For the selection of the right bank of folding is the respective desired Bending length, the maximum required bending angle and bending performance of the bending Bank the most important
Factors a folding bench is designed according to the.
To edit different parts using the bending operations of a folding bench or to be able to produce certain forms of bending, the upper beam, the beam and the lower beam are Tools of bending Bank, which you can change depending on the need for bending. Particularly efficient work modern bending machines, a automatic switch and clamping of the tools of the Allow bending Bank. With an automatic tensioning system for the tools of the folding bench be positioned the cheeks of the bending Bank automatically, as soon as
the operator of the bending Bank  there starts to work. Yet modern and easy to use CNC-controlled folding machines, are which practically automatically perform the bending operations of the bending Bank, after it the has given a desired bending result in the control computer of the bending Bank.

7. How are these machines - Kant Bank - bending Bank - folding machine -
named

Folding machines The process of Abkantens is possible with various machines, which can bend sheet metal. The most, however, machines used for bending are in their fundamental technology equal. Nevertheless, they are described differently. It did not therefore technically Difference whether one speaks of a bending Bank or a Bank of Kant. For the different Labels press and Kant Bank are only linguistic habits, but not technical Differences responsible.
Folding machine is another name used for the bending Bank. The name Folding machine is rather used in technical science for the bending Bank However nothing else known as a Kant Bank and press. That is very similar to Use of the concept of the bending machine to see that in the name of the character of the machine
highlights of the bending Bank. He is often not clearly needed in connection with the name of a bending
machine  The concept of the press brake. So, often not only the type of press is known, the following
the swivel bending technique works, but also folding machines, which according to the principle of
Die bending press work, are referred to as. A die press consists of a Blocks and the so-called bending die. Is the machine equipped with a Tool storage and a facility for tool change, is there a Die bending Centre. Die bending the sheet metal between the punch and the die is processed.
The stamp, descends expresses the sheet metal in the die and is so bent. The Die bending press allows an often-used variant of Abkantens. Therefore is the Die bending press although a bending machine, it is however no folding bench, because they bend
Another folding technique used as the typical bending Bank.
