The scheppach dms 900 woodturning lathe is de­sign­ed with the committed artisan in mind as well as the professional who re­quires a machine with an excellent specification at a competitive price. Built of cast iron the dms series lathes are made to last. Powered by a very quiet running, high torque induction motor, it gives ten speeds ranging from 500 rpm 2,100 rpm and is therefore ideal for small dia­meter spindle work through to large bowl turn­ing.

Both the head­stock, tailstock and lathe bed are made from solid cast iron which has been accurate-ly machined to allow for smooth movement and
minimal levels of vibration. The pivoting headstock turns 180° and locks to facilitate outboard turning.

Unique to the scheppach dms series is the clockwise and anti­clockwise spindle rotation which offers the advantage of positioning the tool rest to the left or right when swiveling the headstock.
